Peripheral Artery Disease Class
Get a leg up on better health!
Make sure peripheral artery disease does not stop you in your tracks.
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) results from clogged arteries in your legs and increases your risk for heart attack, stroke, amputation, and death.
Here are the PAD warning signs:
- Leg muscle pain that happens when you walk but goes away with rest
- Foot or toe pain at rest that often disturbs your sleep
- Skin wounds or ulcers on your feet or toes that are slow to heal
If you are over 50, especially if you have cramping in your legs when you walk, this session is for you!
Dr. Cynthia Baker will be discussing PAD symptoms and what to do to improve your leg pain – including the new supervised exercise therapy program now offered at the Memorial Hospital Wellness Center. Covered by Medicare insurance for patients with PAD!
