When you look good, you feel better.
Our number one priority at Memorial Gables is the wellbeing of our residents. That is why we monitor and record their physical and mental health on a daily basis. That emphasis also includes supporting the personal grooming desires of residents.
After all, who doesn’t feel better with a fresh haircut or manicure?
Of course, we’re just as meticulous about ensuring that we meet the health needs of everyone who lives at Memorial Gables.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, our medical personnel, activities staff, social worker, and dietary manager hold Care Plan Meetings to discuss resident health. We thoroughly review the health of each resident at least once every three months, and invite residents and their families to be a part of this quarterly session.
And if the family cannot attend, the documented results of our staff review are available.
Should our staff notice a significant change in a resident’s habits, such as activity level, eating, or personal hygiene, we will hold a special Care Plan Meeting with staff and family members (if available) to consider any care changes that may be indicated.
Finally, and we can’t say it often enough, residents or family members have the right to request that a Care Plan Meeting be scheduled if they believe it’s warranted by something they’ve observed or they’re concerned about.
