Care when it’s needed most.
At Memorial Gables, we believe all of our services make an impact on the lives of residents and families, but none more significant than respite and hospice care.
Respite Care is needed for an overnight or short-term stay arranged for those individuals whose daytime home care provider (often their children) may be on vacation or need a short reprieve involving temporary care.
Caring for a loved one with a serious illness, no matter how beloved the patient, is a demanding commitment, and we would be the first to remind all caregivers how important it is to take time for themselves.
Hospice Care is designed for terminally ill patients in need of comfort or palliative care, a type of medicine that involves responsible, compassionate and appropriate pain management.
It’s natural to have questions about these care categories, such as screening procedures for those who provide it or whether insurance will cover all or part of the cost. It’s also natural to have mixed feelings about asking them.
Trust us, we’ve probably answered them for someone else. Please know that now you have someone you can turn to for answers.
