Columbus Business First Names Memorial Hospital President/CEO to 2014 C-Suite Awards List

Columbus Business First has named Chip Hubbs, President/CEO at Memorial Hospital of Union County, to its list of 2014 C-Suite Awards honorees, who will be celebrated at an October 30th gala featuring Les Wexner, L Brands Inc. founder and CEO, as the keynote speaker.

The C-Suite Awards Gala will celebrate Hubbs, among a select group of executives, for the leadership, business and civic contributions they have made to their companies, nonprofit organizations and the Central Ohio community. The nomination letters point to Hubbs’ leadership, business acumen and civic contributions; pointing out the growth and success of Memorial as a standout independent hospital.

“Under Mr. Hubbs’ leadership, Memorial gives so much back to the community which, in turn, has improved the quality of life in Union County,” remarks Rick Shortell, Memorial Hospital Board of Trutees Chairman and Executive Director of the Union County Family YMCA. “He has made a difference and has set a standard of corporate involvement in our community. We value Memorial Hospital as not only a top notch health care provider, but as a community leader.”

Honorees for the C-Suite Awards were selected by a panel of editors and publishers from Columbus Business First sister papers in Texas, Maryland, Kentucky and Florida. Up to three honorees were selected in each C-suite category – chief executive, CFO, COO, CIO/CTO, chief marketing officer and general counsel or chief legal officer.
