Dr. Adams Receives Salute to Leaders Award
Presented for outstanding healthcare service to community
Physician John E. Adams, II, DO received the Salute to Leaders Award for Healthcare today at a recognition event sponsored by the Union County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Adams is an active, engaged member of the Plain City community, where he has lived and worked his entire life. His dedication to patients includes making house calls to those who are unable to travel to his office due to illness and age. He received the Memorial Health Physician of the Year award in 2015 in recognition of his outstanding partnership with Memorial and his representation of its mission and vision.
He volunteers each Saturday to provide medical care for low income families in the Plain City Area Free Clinic, which uses the office space for Memorial Family Medicine | Plain City, where his practice is located. The clinic is a ministry of Plain City D. N. A. (Daily Needs Assistance), and Dr. Adams also serves on its Board of Trustees. He also serves as Medical Director for Edgewater Place Assisted Living in Plain City. He is the team physician for Jonathan Alder Local Schools, and provides coverage at events. He previously served on the school board there for 11 years.
Dr. Adams is a graduate of the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He remains an active alumnus, offering his time to the University for teaching current medical students on the Dublin campus, as well as hosting rotating medical and midlevel students.
