Trio of Promotions at Memorial Hospital
Three staff with recent promotions to management positions will provide important leadership in a time of growth and change at Memorial Hospital and Memorial Health, according to Laurie Whittington, MHA, NHA, Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Health and Administrator of Memorial Gables. “As we continue to grow our services and work toward the future expansion and improvements at Memorial, we welcome the leadership of Ashley Boyer, Ashley Dutcher, and Pam Keith,” Whittington adds.
Ashley Boyer, RN, BSN has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/ Nurse Executive for Memorial Health. Boyer has held a number of management positions at Memorial, including serving as Director of Nursing at Memorial Gables, and at Memorial Hospital as Director of Obstetrics and Director of the Medical/Surgical unit. Boyer also serves on the Board of Trustees for Memorial Health Foundation.
Boyer plans to continue focusing on quality, efficiencies, and best practices as the new head administrator for nursing at Memorial Health. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio University, and is currently enrolled in the Master of Healthcare Administration program at Ohio University. Boyer resides in North Lewisburg.
Pam Keith, BSN has been promoted to Emergency Department Nurse Director at Memorial Hospital, and will continue to serve as Director of Critical Care. She previously served as Clinical Coordinator of the Critical Care unit. A Certified Trauma Nurse, Keith has worked in several Level-1 Trauma Centers. She previously worked at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas; and University of Colorado Hospital and Sky Ridge Medical Center – both in Denver, Colorado.
A desire to be closer to family brought Keith to Central Ohio, where she worked at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center before joining the Memorial Hospital team.
Keith plans to continue collaborating with others at Memorial to address emerging trends, adopt innovative ideas, and promote quality, efficiency, and excellence in practice. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
Ashley (Hardbarger) Dutcher, MS, AT has been promoted to Director of Imaging Services at Memorial Hospital. In her previous position as Athletic Training Coordinator, Dutcher managed the launch and implementation of Memorial’s Sports Medicine services, working closely with athletic department representatives with all of Memorial’s partner schools. She previously worked as an athletic trainer in Rehabilitation and at the Wellness Center at Memorial Hospital, and as an adjunct professor at Urbana University. She will continue to serve as Athletic Training Coordinator for Memorial Sports Medicine.
Dutcher looks forward to working on new projects as Memorial continues to expand its services and add technology and new locations for imaging. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from Capital University and a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University. She plans to work on earning a Master’s degree in Health Administration in the near future. Dutcher resides in North Lewisburg.
