Construction begins for Urbana Facility
Outpatient medical center will offer expanded services
Construction for Memorial Health’s new outpatient medical center in Urbana kicked-off with a groundbreaking event today. This $9-million, 30,000-square-foot facility will be located at the northwest corner of East U.S. Route 36 and North Dugan Road, and leased from developer and building owner Hplex Solutions.
When open in mid-2018, Champaign County’s largest family practice, Memorial Primary Care | Urbana, will be located there – along with rotating physician specialists, urgent care, x-ray imaging, lab testing services, and physical and occupational therapy. In addition, a clinical pharmacist and nurse practitioner will evaluate and counsel patients with complex, chronic conditions about how to manage their prescribed medications.
“Our state-of-the-art facility will be a long-time asset for the community, providing increased access to local, stable primary healthcare, and utilizing current technology and best practices for medically-coordinated care for all,” explains Chip Hubbs, President and CEO of Memorial Health. “We have been in the community for five years with our primary care practice and we are pleased to be investing at even greater levels.”
