New Medical Facility Opens in Marysville

Memorial Health held a ribbon cutting event yesterday to celebrate the opening of Memorial Gateway Medical Center, a 20,000 square-foot, $4.7 million medical office building at 140 Coleman’s Crossing Boulevard in Marysville.

Marysville Primary Care, an affiliate of Central Ohio Primary Care, relocated to the facility in March. Memorial General & Colorectal Surgery, the office of Dr. Adam Barker, started seeing patients there in early April. Memorial Ear, Nose and Throat, the office of Fred Leess, MD, will relocate from Memorial Hospital, and will start seeing patients at the new building on May 22.

A new Memorial Family and Sports Medicine office will open at Memorial Gateway Medical Center this summer, with A. Jacob Boucher, MD and Nurse Practitioner Mackenzie Morris. The new practice is expected to welcome patients starting in August.

“To help meet the growing demands for access to high quality primary care physicians in the region, we are proud to open another exceptional facility,” explains Chip Hubbs, President and CEO of Memorial Health.

“As Memorial continues to grow, the access to extraordinary primary and specialty care options does, too. Being located next door to our Imaging, Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, and our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine specialists only adds to the convenience for patients and the providers located here,” Hubbs added.

During a time when many Ohio hospitals are closing or cutting services, Memorial Health continues to steadily grow its services and locations. Major entities in Marysville include Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospital Outpatient Medical Center, and Memorial Gables, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Memorial also operates physician offices and clinical services at 11 other locations in Marysville, Plain City, and Urbana. In addition, Memorial Family Medicine | Richwood will open on May 30. The system’s new outpatient medical center, under construction in Urbana, is targeted to open in mid-2018, and later this year construction will begin on the major expansion and renovation of Memorial Hospital.
