Orthopedics Specialist Receives Award of Fellow
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine specialist Timothy Lynch, DO has received the Award of Fellow (FAOAO) from the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, in recognition of volunteer activities and service to advance osteopathic orthopedic medicine and surgery.
Recipients have demonstrated their commitment to surgical practice and teaching, professional authorship, and participation in organizations while adhering to professional and ethical standards.
Dr. Lynch has demonstrated these qualities in a number of ways. He is a senior clinical examiner in the evaluation of orthopedic surgeons for board certification. He shares his knowledge with medical students as Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Ohio University. He is an active speaker to the Ohio Osteopathic Association, and at local hospital and community events. At Memorial Hospital, he serves on the infection control committee and the Physician Advisory Committee.
At Memorial Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Marysville, he treats patients of all ages – utilizing additional training in sports medicine and arthroscopy to provide minimally invasive surgery. He works closely with Memorial Sports Medicine to evaluate and treat area high school athletes, and serves as its Medical Director. During his career, he has worked with high school athletes, the Cincinnati Bengals, University of Cincinnati athletes, and provided medical coverage for the Revolution 3 Triathlon.
A graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Lynch completed his residency and internship at The Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, and an Arthroscopy and Shoulder Fellowship at Wellington Orthopaedic/University of Cincinnati Sports Fellowship Program. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and is a member of the National Osteopathic Honor Society.
