Wound Care Receives National Awards
Wound heal rates, patient satisfaction earn outstanding marks
During its first year of operation, Memorial Wound Care, had such stellar patient satisfaction and healing outcomes that it has been recognized with two national awards for clinical excellence by Healogics, Memorial’s partner to provide highly specialized treatment for chronic wounds. Daren McCord, Program Director for Memorial Wound Care, accepted the awards on February 16 at the annual Healogics Leadership Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
Memorial Wound Care received a 2016 President’s Circle Award for exceeding performance measures, and was one of only 34, out of 800 centers recognized as “best of the best”.
Memorial Wound Care also received a 2016 Center of Distinction award for exceptional high rates of patient satisfaction and healing outcomes.

Specially trained physicians and clinical staff at Memorial Wound Care heal chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other sores, which have not previously healed in a reasonable amount of time. The highly specialized treatment at Memorial Wound Care features a number of advanced clinical therapies, including the application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
