New Director of Imaging
Memorial Hospital announces the appointment of Myra York, R, CV, as the organization’s Director of the Imaging Department. York brings a wealth of experience in the operations of interventional radiology, ultrasound, MRI, and CT modalities.
Most recently, York worked as System Operations Manager at Mount Carmel Health System where she had oversight for three interventional radiology and ultrasound departments with daily management of 62 associates. In her 25 years at Mount Carmel, York held various radiology leadership roles, ranging from Operations Manager to Project Manager. Her experience includes coordination of patient services, fiscal oversight of equipment selection and annual operations budgets, in addition to development of policies and procedures for daily operations.
York is also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and served as Project Manager for this project for two years during her tenure at Mount Carmel. Six Sigma is a method for reducing variation in manufacturing, service or other business processes, using appropriate tools within a Six Sigma approach to produce breakthrough performance and real financial benefit to an operating business or company.

York holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare from the University of Saint Francis (Joliet, IL). She is also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt from Breakthrough Management Group (BMG) and is registered as a Radiology Technologist, with an advanced certification in Cardiovascular Radiology (CV).
