Medical/Surgical Care

If you are admitted to Memorial Hospital, you will find that our culture provides warm and comfortable care – in addition to excellent medical treatment. Our doctors, nurses, technologists, staff and volunteers collaborate to make your hospital stay as stress-free as possible for you and your family.

Your comfortable, private room in Medical/Surgical Care will include cable television. You will order your meals, on your schedule. The Food and Nutrition department takes pride in providing delicious, nutritional options.

Transitions of Care Program

We provide support to help prevent return visits to the hospital through our Transitions of Care program. Patients with certain conditions will be visited in the hospital by a Transitions of Care nurse practitioner, who will provide guidance for a continuing recovery after you are discharged. Participants can attend follow-up visits to receive additional support at our Transitions of Care Clinic located at the Medication Therapies Center.

Other Services

While you are here, your family will have access to comfortable lounges, easy access to our Café for meals, and convenient gift options at the Gift Shop. They can even relax in our outdoor patio in the Memorial Miracle Life Center or in the garden outside of Medical/Surgical Care.

Our chapel is located in Medical/Surgical Care, and is open 24 hours a day for prayer and meditation. Our hospital chaplain is available to visit you, and can notify clergy from your church or temple, at your request.
