Athlete Injury Clinic
We know sports injuries don’t keep office hours. If you experience an injury requiring evaluation over the weekend, let our experts help. We’re now offering a weekly sports clinic. Hours will vary by season and will be updated here.
At the clinic an injury screening is conducted by a skilled athletic trainer, physical therapist or hand and upper extremity therapist trained in sports medicine. While treatment will not be provided, the student, parents, and coaches can expect an assessment of the injury’s severity and recommendations regarding ongoing medical care and the student’s ability to resume participation in sports.
Those who select Memorial Hospital for further evaluation and/or treatment will receive high priority scheduling to expedite the student’s healing process. Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will need to sign a consent form for consultation.
The clinic is free to all students who participate in organized interscholastic or club-sanctioned sports and have sustained a recent sports-related injury.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 2 to 4 pm. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis by a skilled athletic trainer, hand and upper extremity therapist, or physical therapist.
All patients signed in before closing time will be seen on that day.
