Memorial Receives an ‘A’ for Patient Safety
Memorial Hospital was awarded an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2020 Hospital Safety Grade. The designation recognizes Memorial’s efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States. The Leapfrog Group is a national organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D, or F grade to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections, and other harms among patients in their care.

Hawkins Joins Memorial Health Board
Memorial Health has welcomed the appointment of a new board member, Kent Hawkins, DDS. Appointed by the Union County Commissioners, Hawkins will serve a six-year term for the seat formerly held by Neal Handler and will take an active role on the eight-member volunteer Board of Trustees who govern the path of Memorial Health.
