Dr. Dunkin became interested in practicing medicine after writing a report for a seventh grade project about Osteopathic medicine. Osteopathic physicians seek options to the rudimentary drugs and surgery, and focus on the body’s musculoskeletal system and its importance to a patient's wellbeing. He also chose to practice Osteopathic family medicine because it stresses continuity of care for the life of each patient.
“As a family physician, I regularly evaluate my patient’s TOTAL health needs, providing personal attention in one or more fields of medicine. When necessary, I refer patients to appropriate healthcare sources, yet always maintain continuity of care,” Dr. Dunkin explains.
“I have a fundamental concern with the whole body, preventive medicine, holistic medicine, proper diet, and keeping a patient well.”
Before coming to Memorial Health, area residents depended on Dr. Dunkin for occupational healthcare and urgent care services at Honda of America, and during his earlier practice in Richwood.
In his spare time, Dr. Dunkin enjoys golf, riding his Harley Davidson Fatboy motorcycle, spending time with his wife and son, spending time at their vacation place, and working in his yard.
