Memorial Health Patient - March 2018
I have had a pain in my wrist for well over a month. My family doctor is in Bellefontaine and referred me to an orthopedic surgeon in Bellefontaine. It took that office 1 week to call to schedule my appointment and the appointment was for 3 weeks out. They called me 2 days before my appointment saying they had to reschedule for another 2 weeks out. I went ahead and rescheduled with them. After talking to my mom who has worked for Dr. Stover, she told me to call them. I called, the lady was very helpful in telling me that I needed to have my referral faxed over and once it was in my charts she could schedule my appointment, That was on Thursday. My referral was in my charts by Friday afternoon and I was scheduled first thing Tuesday morning (My first available time due to my schedule). I was in the office for 40 min, received a corizone shot and walked out feeling better than I had in months. Dr. Stover and the nurse were very respectful about what I had to say, my pain, and asking what I had done to try to ease my pain, at home. They were very informative about the shot, how it worked, what it would feel like, and my options if it did not work. Thank you for everything.

I completely enjoyed the interaction between Dr. Stover and his nurse. I have been to a lot of doctor/dentist office where the doctors have came off as superior to their nurses and you could tell by the shyness.. standoffish of the nurses. as if they were afraid to make a mistake or step on the doctors toes. Dr. Stover and his nurses were making jokes and laughing with me and it made for a relaxing visit.
