Telehealth
All of our Memorial Medical Group practices now offer telehealth services – options include phone calls with a provider or video visits via two-way video chat – all from the “new location” of your home! These telehealth services are HIPAA-compliant and available to new and existing patients of a Memorial practice. Call your provider to schedule an appointment for COVID-19 symptoms or other illness concerns and follow-up appointments.
TeleFAQs
Telehealth is using electronic technology to provide healthcare services. Our HIPAA-compliant technology can be a simple phone call with a provider or a video visit via two-way chat. Telehealth has multiplied in use since the COVID-19 pandemic because it allows you to stay home and still receive care, for sick visits or well checks.
Yes! Our primary care and specialty care practices are open and still scheduling in-office and telehealth visits. Telehealth visits are ideal for things like regularly scheduled follow-up appointments, medication management, general illness concerns (sore throat, gout, migraines), and behavioral health.
Memorial offers several different telehealth services for new and existing patients of our Memorial Medical Group practices. Existing patients can call their practice and ask to be scheduled for a visit. New patients would need to call the practice of their choice and then discuss how you are currently feeling and recommendations for next steps. In addition, new patients seeking a telehealth appointment are required to complete a New Patient Packet prior to the visit.
We still have you covered! Memorial offers two versions of HIPAA-compliant telehealth services – we can schedule virtual visits that are a simple phone call with your provider or a two-way video chat – all you need for this is a device with a camera and microphone (like your smartphone or tablet). Don’t let the “technology” worry you – we can adapt to your needs.
It is essentially like FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom! Check out the steps below:
