Paperless Billing

WE’VE GONE TO PAPERLESS BILLS

Thank you for trusting Memorial Health with your healthcare needs. Our providers, staff, and volunteers are dedicated to providing you with the best medical experience.

At Memorial, we are also committed to minimizing healthcare costs and reducing our environmental impact. To support these efforts, we are converting all MyChart users to paperless billing as of June 7, 2022.

  • All patients who have an active MyChart account will receive bills via their MyChart account. When a new bill is available, patients will receive a notice through the MyChart mobile app and through the email linked to their MyChart account.
  • Patients who do not have a MyChart account will receive bills in the mail. To enroll in MyChart, visit memorialohio.com/mychart.

DID YOU KNOW? You have several ways to securely pay your bill!

  • USE MYCHART TO PAY YOUR BILL: Download, print, and pay your current bill. Easily access your billing history. Request appointments, request a prescription renewal, send a message to your provider, and more.
  • MAKE A ONE-TIME PAYMENT: If you prefer to pay your bill without creating an account, you can easily make a one-time payment via Memorial Hospital’s online Patient eServices or via MyChart Pay As A Guest.

If you have questions related to billing or need assistance, please contact our Patient Financial Services team at (937) 578-2708 or 1-800-686-4677 ext. 2708.

Frequently asked questions about paperless billing

What do you mean when you say you are going to paperless statements?

Starting June 7, 2022, patients with active MyChart accounts will no longer receive paper bills in the mail unless they opt out of paperless billing from within their MyChart account.

What if I want to continue receiving paper statements? Or, what if I try paperless statements and don’t like them? Can I return to paper statements?

We understand that some patients with MyChart accounts prefer to receive a paper statement — and that’s OK! Resuming paper statements is easy. You’ll need to opt out of paperless billing statements, which can be done via your MyChart account:

OPTION 1

  1. On the homepage of your MyChart account, click the Menu and select Billing Summary.
  2. Under your billing summary you’ll see a statement that reads, “If you would like to receive paper statements, you may cancel paperless billing.” Click on the words “cancel paperless billing.”
  3. On the next screen, click the button “Receive paper statements.”

OPTION 2

If you opt out of paperless billing prior to June 7, we won’t change your setting to paperless billing. Patients can opt in and opt out of receiving paper statements as often as they would like.

I don’t have a MyChart account. Does this change impact me?

No. Patients who don’t have a MyChart account will continue receiving paper statements. If you don’t have a MyChart account, we encourage you to sign up to experience the many benefits MyChart has to offer. To enroll in MyChart, visit memorialohio.com/mychart.

How do I view my monthly statement?

Log in to MyChart and select the Menu icon (located in the center) – click through these steps:

  1. Billing Summary
  2. View Last Statement

How will I know if I have a bill due if I don’t get a statement in the mail?

When a new statement is ready to review, you’ll receive a monthly notification to the email address on file in your MyChart account.

What happens if I don’t realize that I have a statement ready in MyChart and I miss the due date?

At 60 days past due, Memorial Health has procedures in place to actively reach out via mail for accounts with outstanding balances. You’ll receive a courtesy paper bill statement reminding you that you’re signed up for paperless billing. Several attempts will be made to ensure that you have seen the bill.

I am still receiving paper bills from radiology, ICU, emergency, and hospitalists?

There are certain services Memorial contracts with outside partners to provide. For those types of services, you may continue to receive paper statements unless you make specific arrangements with those companies.
