EMS Liaison

A top priority for Memorial Hospital is to work with our regional healthcare partners to ensure together, we provide quality, compassionate care in the communities we serve.

The EMS Liaison position fulfills a crucial role in meeting this goal. Our EMS Liaison is responsible for managing and fostering collaborative relationships with our EMS partners to facilitate optimal transitions of care, build and drive new clinical initiatives, and identify educational opportunities for our EMS colleagues within the local communities. In addition, this Liaison will review EMS and Emergency Department records to identify opportunities to improve quality outcomes of services rendered in prehospital care.

Tabitha Jenkins, RN serves as the EMS Liaison at Memorial Hospital. She works collaboratively with local EMS coordinators; our EMS medical director, Brooke M. Moungey, MD, FACEP; and the Clinical Education Department at Memorial. She can be reached at ems@memorialohio.com.

Dr. Moungey is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She currently serves as the Course Director of the EMS Rotation and the EMS Longitudinal Track Leader for EM & EM/IM Residency Programs. She is also the EMS Medical Director for all Union County Agencies:
  • Allen Township Fire Department
  • Leesburg Township Fire Department
  • Marysville Fire Division
  • Northern Union County Joint Fire & EMS District
  • Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Fire District
  • Union Township Fire Department
  • Union County Sheriff’s Office

In addition, she holds the positions of:

  • Associate Medical Director for the Delaware County Emergency Medical Services
  • Associate Medical Director for Columbus State Community College EMS Programs
