Spence Fisher

President

Spence Fisher was appointed President of Memorial Health in January 2026, and will become President/CEO upon Chip Hubbs’ retirement in January 2027.

Previously, Spence served as Executive Vice President of Memorial Health as well as President of the Memorial Medical Group, the system’s employed physician organization. Over his tenure, Spence has lead many of our ambulatory departments, including pharmacy, surgery, and physical therapy. He also organizes our efforts in business development to offer new services and expand existing service lines. He has been a valued member of our leadership team for more than 20 years, after joining Memorial in September 2004.

Spence has a Bachelor degree in Microbiology and Master of Health Administration degree, both from The Ohio State University. He has over 30 years of healthcare experience including positions at Ernst & Young, LLP and OhioHealth. In recognition of his leadership and civic contributions, Spence was selected as a Finalist for the Executive of the Year in Columbus CEO magazine’s 2018 Healthcare Achievement Awards.

He is currently a Board Member of the Union County Port Authority and has served on the boards of Healthcare Financial Management Association, Union County American Red Cross, Union County Chamber of Commerce, and the Community Improvement Corporation. Spence is married with two children.
