Stephanie Burkart, CNP

Stephanie is a Certified Nurse Practitioner within our Memorial Orthopedics practice with a focus on our spine care division. She works alongside neurosurgeon Dr. Chris Karas for patients with spine conditions—from degenerative disorders such as osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, and spinal stenosis, to traumatic injuries like spinal fractures, herniated discs, and spinal cord injuries.

Together, our spine care team can provide a range of treatment options, including both non-surgical and surgical interventions, along with advanced procedures such as spinal cord stimulation for failed back syndrome and kyphoplasty for compression fractures.

Stephanie has been in the nursing field for nearly 15 years, providing care in spine/joint/sports medicine settings, in addition to preoperative and post-anesthesia care units. Her expertise includes managing treatment plans for spine care and pain management.

She holds her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.

Stephanie believes strongly in building relationships with patients and their families and is dedicated to patient education and understanding.

Stephanie is married with two sons and together, the Burkart family loves going to Columbus Crew games – “Come on Black and Gold!”. She also loves to spend time with her extended family and lace up her running shoes for a good run.
