Memorial Health has welcomed the appointment of a new board member, Greg Sehnert. Appointed by the Union County Commissioners and two local judges, Sehnert will complete the unexpired term for the seat formerly held by Chad Hoffman, and will take an active role on the eight-member volunteer Board of Trustees who govern the path of Memorial Health.
Sehnert has been a resident of Marysville for the last 30 years, after purchasing the Nuckles Insurance Agency in 1991, known today as Nuckles Sehnert and Associates Insurance. As an active community member, he has served as Past Chair of the Union County Foundation, the Union County YMCA, and the Professional Insurance Agents of Ohio. He currently serves as Chairman of the Union County Port Authority and is a member of the Marysville Civil Service Commission.
Following his appointment to the board, Sehnert comments, “I’m proud to be a part of the story of our community’s healthcare system. I have witnessed the growth and expansion of services over the years and I look forward to the promising future ahead. We are fortunate to have this great asset in our area for our growing families and communities.”
Hoffman’s term ended after the February 2021 meeting, following 17 years on the Memorial Health Board. Hoffman is President/CEO of Richwood Bank, and he has served on several boards and committees in Union County including the Richwood Business Association, Union County Chamber of Commerce, Union County Foundation, and Junior Achievement. He currently serves on the Union County Port Authority Board and the Community Bankers Association of Ohio Board.
Commenting on Hoffman’s service, Chip Hubbs, Memorial Health CEO & President shares, “As the second longest serving board member in the history of Memorial Health and a previous Board Chair, Chad Hoffman guided key strategic decisions, placing the hospital in a position of strength while adapting to the expanding healthcare needs of the community. These decisions have led to a combination of projects, partnerships, and added services to benefit the region Memorial serves. We are extremely grateful for Chad’s leadership, dedication, and service to Memorial Health over the past 17 years.”
Sehnert will join the current board members including Chairperson Gary McDowell; Vice-Chairperson Doug Loudenslager; Secretary Emily Wieringa; Immediate Past Vice-Chair Dennis Stone; Past Chairperson Nikki Conklin; Kent Hawkins, DDS; and Tina Owens-Ruff.
