Melanie Ziegler

Vice President of Community Engagement


Melanie Ziegler was named Vice President of Community Engagement in 2017, after serving the organization in various roles within marketing, public relations, and development since 2001. Her responsibilities include continued oversight of these areas, in addition to patient experience, food and nutrition services, adult and student volunteer programs, and the hospital’s Wellness Center.

A native of New Hampshire, where her family owned a dairy farm, she has been a resident of Union County since 1995. A position in international marketing and communications at Select Sires, Inc. brought her to Central Ohio in 1993.

Melanie has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Biology, Spanish, International Studies) from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration degree from Urbana University.

An involved community member, Melanie serves on the Impact60 board, on numerous committees within Fairbanks School District, and is a member of the Union County Agriculture Association.

Melanie and her husband, Jeff, live in Union County and are the parents of four sons.
