Gary McDowell

Gary McDowell was appointed to our board in 2010. He is a lifelong resident of Dover Township and graduated from Marysville High School. Gary served four years in the U.S. Navy before returning to the family farm following his active service.

Gary has an extensive resume of community involvement including service on the Ohio Farm Bureau Board of Trustees representing Union, Delaware, Franklin and Madison counties; the American Farm Bureau Swine Committee; the Union County Farm Bureau Board; and the County Committee for the Farm Service Agency. He is a past member of the Union County Board of Health, which he chaired for many years.

Gary and his wife, Sallie, are the parents of five children, grandparents to nine, and great-grandparents to five, some of which are scattered to the far corners of the United States. They are members of Springdale Baptist Church.
