Time is of the essence in diagnosing the type of infection a patient is fighting. Memorial Hospital’s Laboratory uses state-of-the-art technology to provide rapid on-site diagnosis for many infections, within two hours in most cases, enabling treatment to begin earlier for your recovery.
Memorial Hospital’s Laboratory houses the GeneXpert and illumigene® molecular diagnostics equipment, which rapidly amplify and analyze the DNA of bacteria in test samples taken from patient body fluids, stool samples, or tissues.
