Memorial Health has been selected, along with other Central Ohio health systems and Dr. Amy Acton, as Humanitarians of the Year, recognizing the group’s collaborative efforts to fight COVID-19. The acknowledgement, bestowed from the Central Ohio branch of the American Red Cross, marks the organization’s 25th Humanitarian of the Year celebration.

In addition, a multi-departmental team from Memorial accepted the award on the behalf of the organization’s 1000+ employees. This team comprised of Jolene Headings, RN; Rebecca Hinegardner, RT; Sun Powers, Environmental Services; Crystal Cleland, RRT; Jewel Daulton, RN; Kaleb Howard, MLA; and Shahrukh Hashmi, MD.
Other award honorees were Mount Carmel Health System, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, OhioHealth, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
