EMS Liaison
A top priority for Memorial Hospital is to work with our regional healthcare partners to ensure together, we provide quality, compassionate care in the communities we serve.
The EMS Liaison position fulfills a crucial role in meeting this goal. Our EMS Liaison is responsible for managing and fostering collaborative relationships with our EMS partners to facilitate optimal transitions of care, build and drive new clinical initiatives, and identify educational opportunities for our EMS colleagues within the local communities. In addition, this Liaison will review EMS and Emergency Department records to identify opportunities to improve quality outcomes of services rendered in prehospital care.
Tabitha Jenkins, RN, serves as the EMS Liaison at Memorial Hospital. She works collaboratively with local EMS coordinators; our EMS medical director, Brooke M. Moungey, MD, FACEP; and the Clinical Education Department at Memorial. She can be reached at ems@memorialohio.com.
Tabitha has been a part of the Fire/EMS and critical care nursing world for 20 years. Her journey first began with the Raymond Fire Department. Throughout her nursing career, she has specialized in critical care roles, including the Emergency Department, ICU, and most recently, the Cardiac Cath Lab at Memorial, where she currently still serves.
Tabitha is working towards completing her certification to be an EMS Continuing Education instructor, as well as an instructor for ACLS, BLS, and PALS, all of which will be utilized for outreach efforts. She is eager to work collaboratively with the first responders in our local communities.
