Memorial Health announces Dylan Ekstrand, DO, has joined Memorial Damascus Family Medicine, as well as the appointment of Rebecca Wilder as the organization’s Wellness Center Director.
 

Memorial Damascus Family Medicine has welcomed a new provider – Dylan Ekstrand, DO. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Ekstrand provides primary care for both children and adult patients. His goal is to provide personalized care through a holistic approach – building relationships with his patients so together, they can navigate health concerns and wellness plans. Additionally, Dr. Ekstrand specializes in hypertension, diabetes, obesity, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and asthma.

Dr. Ekstrand broke his arm at the age of six, and it sparked his interest in medicine – watching the doctor treat and care for him was the “coolest thing ever.” He completed his family medicine residency and internship at the Fairfield Medical Center and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Rebecca Wilder was promoted to Memorial Wellness Center Director after 20 years working as the Lead Exercise Physiologist. Wilder has more than 25 years of experience working in wellness and cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, making her a great fit for this leadership role. She embodies the organization’s mission of promoting wellness and improving the health of the community. Wilder replaces former Wellness Center director, Deborah Stubbs, who retired after 35 years at Memorial.

Wilder’s education includes a Master of Science from University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University. As an active member of the organization and the community, her involvement is wide-ranging: Union County Safety Council, Memorial Gala Committee, American Association of Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certification Committee, and Marysville Monarch Volleyball Boosters Secretary.
