Free Event Geared to Local Seniors
August 31, 2026 – Memorial Health, in collaboration with the Union County Older Adult Falls Prevention Coalition, is hosting Healthy Seniors Day – a free event with interactive activities and educational resources designed specifically for local seniors.
Healthy Seniors Day will take place on Tuesday, September 22, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Memorial Hospital Wellness Center, located at 500 London Ave., Entrance E., in Marysville.
The schedule for the morning includes:
10 a.m. – Registration
The first 20 event attendees will receive a $10 lunch voucher to use at the Memorial Hospital Bistro ’52.
10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Meet with Memorial Experts
Interact with Memorial team members and learn about topics including pelvic floor physical therapy for men and women, falls prevention, medication management, the benefits of vestibular and vision therapies, Inspire® sleep therapy, and the importance of hearing screenings. In-person screenings will include blood pressure checks and balance tests. Attendees can also speak one-on-one with a primary care physician.
10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. – Memorial Wellness Demonstrations
Participate in 15-minute demonstrations that focus on learning how to get up from a fall, how to improve your balance, tips for exercising at home, and an at-home exercise program.
11:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Explore and Tour
Visit event stations, connect with resources, and tour the Memorial Hospital Wellness Center.
As part of the event, participants will receive a Healthy Seniors Day Passport, receiving stamps as they complete event activities. Guests that complete three activities will be entered for a chance to win a free massage.
Healthy Seniors Day is a joint collaborative event between Memorial Health, the Regional Falls Coalition, and the Union County Health Department.
