Memorial Hospital announces the appointment of Valerie Tracey, BSN, ACM-RN, CMAC, as the organization’s Director of Case Management and Will Thomaschek as Laboratory Director.
Tracey joined Memorial in 2017, starting out as a member of the Case Management team. Since then, Tracey has proven herself as a strong leader, compassionate nurse, and admired advocate for Memorial, thereby earning her the promotion to Director of Case Management. She is viewed by many as a subject matter expert for Case Management, finding solutions that impact patient experience in a positive manner.
In 2012, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Capital University where she excelled in the accelerated nursing program. Tracey also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Kent State University and has received her Accredited Case Manager certification. To add to her expertise, in 2021 Tracey passed the Case Management Administrator Certification exam. She also serves on the Ohio American Case Management Association Education Committee.
Thomaschek joins Memorial Hospital as the new Laboratory Director with over 28 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in laboratory, radiology, and cardiopulmonary. Thomaschek’s years were spent at Berger Health System in Circleville, where he started as Laboratory Director and later transitioned to Administrative Director of Clinical Support Services and Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics.
Thomaschek has a Masters in Business Administration from Ohio University, Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology from University of Dayton, and is a certified Medical Technologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
