Memorial Hospital announces the appointment of Joseph Gantz, RN, BSN, as the organization’s new Director of Occupational Health, a service line focused on the health, safety, injury prevention, and welfare of local workplace employees.
Gantz joined the Memorial Occupational Health team in 2021 as the Nurse Manager, overseeing daily activities of the organization’s growing clinic. Prior to joining Memorial, Gantz worked in the Emergency Rooms at both OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and Dublin Methodist Hospital, where he served as a charge nurse and clinical nurse lead. He has also worked in the Memorial Hospital Emergency Department.
Gantz holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University where he was also a member of the football team from 2005-2010. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walsh University in North Canton.
Speaking on his promotion, Gantz comments, “I am proud to assume this leadership role within Memorial’s Occupational Health team. Our services have great benefits for employers, employees, and workplaces in our area – from treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses to physicals, screenings, immunizations, and more. I look forward to working alongside our clinical team as together we grow these services in step with the rapidly growing region Memorial serves.”
Gantz has succeeded Debbie Murphy, who retired in June after 34 years with Memorial Health.
