Memorial Health has announced its services are reaching further in the region with the addition of three new providers to its growing team of primary/specialty care physicians and mid-level providers.
Joining the Memorial Ear, Nose & Throat practice is Gretchen Waggoner, Au. D. Waggoner received her Doctor of Audiology (Au. D.) degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She completed her Master of Science in Audiology from Bowling Green State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Sciences from Ohio University. Her previous work includes nearly 27 years with the Audiology Division at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is board certified by the Ohio State Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Academy of Audiology.
As a clinical audiologist, Waggoner provides comprehensive diagnostic services for pediatric and adult patients for a variety of hearing healthcare services. She particularly enjoys providing hearing aid selection, fitting, and follow-up services, as well as counseling patients to set them up for success.
Waggoner is passionate about hearing protection and conservation, both in occupational and recreational settings. She takes a holistic approach to her patients, understanding their lives and their hearing goals.
A resident of Ostrander for 21 years, Waggoner is thrilled to be serving patients in her community, as her philosophy of care is making connections with people. She is married with two children who are active in sports – soccer and golf are at the top of the list. When she can, she loves to be outdoors in any activity, including gardening in her flower beds. Ritu Madan, DO, has joined Memorial Rheumatology. During her tenure, Madan has gained extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatic conditions. Her commitment to patient care and her dedication to implementing the latest advancements in rheumatology have earned her a strong reputation in her field.
Madan’s philosophy of care is to keep an individualized approach in mind while working with patients to formulate a care plan. A key element of her practice is to not just focus on the disease itself but also other elements that influence a patient’s health – she believes a holistic approach is the cornerstone of providing quality care in medicine.
Madan specializes in patients with various types of arthritis and other inflammatory or autoimmune conditions related to the joints, muscles, or bones. She treats adults with conditions as diverse as arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, lupus, scleroderma, myositis, vasculitis, and sarcoidosis.
Madan completed her fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine and her residency at Wright State University School of Medicine. Her medical degree was achieved at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, with an internship at Genesis Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.

A new provider has joined Memorial Damascus Family Medicine – Carolyn Ricketts, FNP-C.
Ricketts joins Memorial with nearly 16 years in healthcare with experience as a nurse practitioner as well as a registered nurse for obstetrics, cardiac, and emergency care. She has her Master of Science in Nursing from Otterbein University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University. She most recently served as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Maple Leaf Family and Sports Medicine in Bellefontaine.
Her philosophy of care revolves around a collaborative approach with her patients – working to understand each patient as a whole person as well as their health goals. She has expertise in high blood pressure, diabetes, and weight management, along with women’s health.
In her personal time, Ricketts loves to be outside at her country home in Union County with her husband and two children. She also thrives on adding hobbies to her leisure time, including dance, hip hop, photography, and yoga.
