Newsweek’s America’s Best-In-State Hospitals 2026 List
Memorial Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best-In-State Hospitals 2026. This prestigious award is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
The America’s Best-In-State Hospitals 2026 ranking was created to identify the top hospitals at the state level. Hospitals from all US states were eligible for the ranking and included in the nationwide survey. Four data sources were used for the evaluation: Hospital Quality Metrics, Hospital Reputation, Patient Experience, and a Statista PROMS Implementation Survey. As a result, the 800 hospitals that scored the highest across these criteria have been included on the list.
The designation exemplifies how Memorial excels in quality of care, has high patient satisfaction, and is one of the leading hospitals in the nation.
HX Guardian of Excellence Award® by Press Ganey
The health system’s medical group, Memorial Medical Group (MMG), was awarded the Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award, recognizing healthcare organizations that consistently rank in the top percentile (95th –99th) across key measures, including patient experience, employee experience, physician experience, member experience, clinical quality, and consumer experience.
This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, according to performance in patient experience. MMG ranked in the top-percentile for patient experience throughout all of 2024, earning recognition among 414 total recipients nationwide. Of those recipients, only 21 were medical practices, placing MMG among the top 1.6 percent of eligible practices to receive this honor.
Top Hospitals 2026 List by Forbes
Forbes has released, for the first time, a list of “Top Hospitals” by analyzing data on outcomes, best practices, value, and patient experience – then assigning a star rating from one to five based on this analysis. Memorial Hospital has received a five-star rating – making them one of only 16 Ohio hospitals to be recognized by Forbes.
Top Recommended Hospitals List by Becker’s Hospital Review
Becker’s has compiled a list of hospitals that patients would recommend in each state using data from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS). The patient recommendation star rating summarizes how well patients feel that their physicians explained things clearly, listened carefully to them, and treated them with courtesy and respect. Memorial Hospital is one of 32 hospitals in Ohio named as a “Top Recommended Hospital.”
Great Community Hospitals List by Becker’s Hospital Review
Memorial Hospital was named in Becker’s 2025 edition of its “Great Community Hospitals.” According to the announcement, the designation from Becker’s indicates Memorial was selected because the organization is known for clinical excellence, compassionate care, economic impact on their communities, and more.
