Volunteers assist in the following areas:
Gift Shops – Co-Managers, Finance & Inventory Coordinator, and Sales Associates.
Hospitality Ambassadors – Outpatient Pavilion.
Memorial Meals
- Community Meals – there are around 125 lunches prepared by paid hospital staff at the Windsor Community dining room. Senior citizens are encouraged to make a reservation and enjoy great food and fellowship at the Pleasant Valley Senior Center in Plain City, Richwood Civic Center, or Windsor Senior Center Meal Site. Volunteers transport the meals from Windsor to the other meal sites, where a paid site manager oversees the operations and the volunteers who are answering the phones and serving as hosts. There are over 25 volunteers who participate with Community Meals and this allows our program to reach the far corners of the county.
- Mobile Meals – volunteers are delivering an average of 300 hot lunches every weekday to senior citizens 60 years of age and older who live in throughout Union County. These meals are prepared by our hospital Food and Nutrition staff. There are two (2) volunteers for each of the 12 different routes and over 120 volunteers in all.
Messenger Service – Delivering the mail throughout the hospital.
Nutrition Care – Delivering meals to our patients.
Office Assistant – Providing support to various offices.
Physical Therapy – Assist with various tasks throughout the treatment area.
