Memorial Health announces David A. Tanner, DO, will begin serving as Medical Director for Memorial Hospital Occupational Health, a service line of Memorial dedicated to helping local businesses improve and maintain the well-being and safety of their employees.
Dr. Tanner joins Memorial with almost 20 years of experience in the field of Occupational Health, most recently as Medical Director for Employer Services, Occupational & Environmental Medicine for WorkHealth, a division of OhioHealth Corporation in Columbus.
Currently, Tanner serves as Medical Advisor for the Board of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System and has done so since 2014. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Pharmacy & Therapeutics Subcommittee, as well as a Board Member-at-Large of the National Occupational Health Professionals since January 2017.
Tanner is a board certified family medicine physician and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Doctors Hospital in Columbus. Tanner graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO.
