Clinical Student Internships
We offer clinical internships for students enrolled in clinical, healthcare-focused programs through their career centers. These students get the opportunity to spend most of their school year with us developing their skills through hands-on, real-time experience in the field. We currently partner with Tolles Career & Technical Center and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center for these opportunities.

Clinical Experiences For College Students
Advance your clinical training through real-world experiences. We offer structured pathways for growth by providing clinical student internships, nursing specialized site rotations, nursing student externships, and a comprehensive nurse residency program for new graduates.

Nursing Specialized Site Rotations
We partner with select state-affiliated nursing programs to give nursing students opportunities to gain exposure to many specialties across Memorial Health departments and practices.

Nursing Student Externships
Spend 12 weeks with us during your final years of nursing school, gaining hands-on experience while developing skills in patient care, communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, electronic charting, and empathy.

Our 12-month program assists nurses as they transition from schooling to practice after graduation. Our program is designed to support you during this phase of your career, and many studies have shown benefits from joining a formal residency program.

Job Shadowing
Memorial Health offers job shadowing opportunities across various departments for high school and college students looking to learn in a real-world environment. If you’re interested in shadowing opportunities, please complete one of our job shadowing interest packets – if you’re under the age of 18, you will need to get permission from a parent/guardian.
- Observer Interest Packet – For students seeking a shadowing opportunity that is not part of a clinical program
- Clinical Students Interest Packet – For clinical students who need to complete clinical hours as part of their program

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE)
Spend a month with us during your last year of pharmacy school and gain hands-on clinical training. These opportunities are available year-round for administration, inpatient, and outpatient experiences.

Pharmacy Residency Program
Our 12-month program helps new pharmacists further develop their clinical skills and knowledge post-graduation (from an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy Program). During our program you will receive guidance from experienced pharmacists, gain exposure to a wide variety of disease states, and build confidence and experience in the following areas: direct patient care, medication distribution, practice advancement, leadership, and teaching/education.
