At Memorial Health, we are extremely grateful for the amazing level of collaboration that has existed between our organization and the Union County Health Department (UCHD). For decades, we have enjoyed a relationship built on mutual respect and cooperation, both focused on ways we can individually and jointly serve the needs of our community. In some parts of the state and nation, local health departments and hospital systems are not great friends and it benefits residents greatly that Memorial and the UCHD are in lock step. Memorial Hospital was awarded an ‘A’ in the fall 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Memorial’s achievements protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Safety Grade assigns an ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ or ‘F’ grade to all general hospitals across the country and is updated every six months. Memorial Hospital announces the appointment of Dannielle Schroeder as the organization’s Nurse Director of Surgery.
Schroeder joined Memorial in 2007, starting out on the surgical nursing team as an RN. In 2012, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain University College of Nursing and was later promoted to Clinical Coordinator. In 2016, she earned her Master of Business Administration/Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Otterbein University. Schroeder also completed the Leadership Success Series, led by Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions.Read More
